Eligibility Criteria for Atmanirbhar Scheme
To participate in the Atmanirbhar Assam 2023 initiative, individuals must meet specific eligibility criteria:
- Residency: Beneficiaries must be permanent residents of Assam.
- Age: Applicants should be between 18 to 40 years old.
- Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation will be 3 years for OBC, SC and ST candidates.
- Educational Qualification: To be eligible for this scheme, applicants must have a minimum qualification of passing Class 10. Candidates from the OBC, SC, and ST communities must have completed at least up to Class 10 to meet the eligibility criteria for this scheme.
- Skill Qualification: Beneficiaries should possess the necessary skills and knowledge, which may be acquired through ITI or Diploma programs, to engage in income-generating activities.
- Loan History: Applicants must not have a history of loan defaults.
- Government Service: Eligible candidates should not come from families with government service holders or pensioners.
- Income: Only candidates classified under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category are eligible.
- Family: Only one member per family can avail of this scheme.
- Employment Exchange: Beneficiaries must have been registered with the Employment Exchange before April 1, 2023, to qualify.
